The Fender Champ has been a staple of recording musicians, bedroom players and just about anyone who loves great tone. There have been a number different models over the years and some are more desirable than others. Most Champs can easily be modded to sound like the more desirable models. The Fender Champ was a guitar amplifier made by Fender. It was introduced in and discontinued in The Champ had the lowest power output and the simplest circuit for all of the Fender tube amps. The Champ had only one power tube, and the power stage circuit is, typically, single-ended and class A. Five watts and the simple toneful circuit allowed the Champ to be used easily and often in recording studios.
