Adele’s big 2017 was marked by the release of her third studio album, 25, and her “Hello” music video, the smash hit from which is the focus of the upcoming documentary adease, out on Friday.The singer is now headed back to the small screen, in the form of a two-hour TV special.
Adele, An Audience With Adele will air at 8 p.m. Friday, March 23, on FOX, in what promises to be a star-studded musical event. In addition to a full-blown performance, the special features interviews with Adele (in a relaxed mood), her family, and fans. The woman who “broke the internet” last year will be performing tracks from 25, along with a “senior selection of older favorites.”
On the heels of the release of the documentary, Adele is also slated to make her performance debut at this weekend’s Academy Awards. The TV special was taped last October at Los Angeles’s Forum, Adele’s third stop on a hotly anticipated North American tour that starts in April.
Adele will likely stick with 25, her latest studio album. It was the best-selling album of 2017 and was even rumored to have recently broken Billboard’s record for most album streams in one week.
